The Blacktown Girls High School difference
A strong start
Learning goals progress logically from one grade to the next, equipping students for upcoming academic challenges and life beyond school. They aim to develop the essential conceptual understandings needed to help create a fair and inclusive society and a sustainable future. Our school recognises and celebrates our students' individuality, providing an environment where students feel safe to push their boundaries and challenge themselves. We are here to guide and support them on their journey, because 'There is Nothing a Blacktown Girl Can't Do!'
Growth in the classroom and beyond
BGHS offers a vibrant and diverse range of extracurricular programs. The school is well-known for excellence in robotics, sports, drama, music, public speaking, and debating. Recently, we have also introduced Dance to this impressive lineup. Our students have numerous opportunities to enhance their creative talents through a wide variety of co-curricular programs and performance experiences.
Support for every family
Our programs are designed to help students develop positive social skills, well-being, and a strong sense of belonging, ensuring that every individual feels supported and valued. A dedicated well-being team, led by the Principal and supported by counsellors, teachers, student support officers and the Head Teacher Wellbeing, is always available to support students. Classroom teachers and Year Advisers foster a community where our core values of Aspiration, Integrity, Respect, and Responsibility are lived and nurtured. Together, we embody the spirit of The School That Makes a Difference, empowering students to grow, contribute, and succeed. Students thrive in a supportive environment which nurtures their mental, physical, social, and emotional well-being.
